How the Segments Work in the Members Connections View
The video above gives a quick demo on how to sort map members by segment
once you have them set up for your connections. Please read below for
some logic surrounding the purposes/uses for segments.
The goal of segment is to filter out too many names to have a manageable group for your map users to view.
The map segment is always defined by the administrator, not the map users.
Each person can only belong to a single segment.
Segments
should defined by something your map members have in common beyond
alphabetical, sex, pronoun, etc. For example: if you are mapping a
school district you may segment by school, or
student/teacher/administration, or athletic program/arts program/etc.
